Dare I say this was my favorite place on Palawan Island? Yes, El Nido does have the most amazing beaches and scenic limestone cliffs BUT it is also super busy and touristy. Port Barton offers some of the same attractions like island hopping, INCREDIBLE snorkeling, beautiful beaches and delicious local Filipino food. It is just 4hrs south of El Nido and 3hrs north of Puerto Princessa, so it is a perfect place to stop between the two on your exploration of Palawan.
