Close approach to a supercell in New Mexico that was cranking up to become tornado warned just after this shot. You can see the very wet rear-flank-downdraft of this supercell as the camera pans to the right with the area I was watching spin down and just to the left of the road. I thought this thing was going to produce a tornado before a warning, but instead it moved into a giant road hole which New Mexico is famous for.
This was a great chase day where we documented multiple tornadoes on 5/26/23.
