In this first part I cover some of the changes that will impact on Domestic Electrical Installers, the biggest of which is the mandating of AFDD's on all new Consumer Units from March 28th 2023. This single change will substantially increase costs for our clients.
AFDD's are a brilliant idea, but their cost has got to come down otherwise a fantastic safety feature will just sit gathering dust on Wholesalers shelves.
