The United States has said that it will assist Uganda to eliminate the militant group, Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) following reports that Uganda may soon stop its search efforts for the LRA leader Joseph Kony.
Ugandan People's Defence Force spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Paddy Ankunda, said that the Ugandan government notified the African Union that it plans to withdraw about 2,500 troops, from a joint anti-LRA battalion in the Central African Republic.
