Another heartbreaking loss for the Decorah North family with the passing of DN8 too. Dad Decorah was still on the nest brooding and protecting DN8 from the gnats and sun but sadly, it was too much for this little one and he passes away this afternoon. Dad Decorah can be seen watching as if he is grieving the loss of both his babies He stayed for a long time with them before he finally took off. My deepest condolences to Raptor Resource Project and all the many viewers who loved this eagle family. My heart is broken for Mom & Dad Decorach who have suffered so many losses. I had such hope for her and when she laid her 2nd clutch of eggs - these were her miracle eggs! And when they hatched - what joy we all shared in seeing these two babies so full of life. Now they are gone and we are all left with a big empty hole in our hearts. RIP little angels - we will never forget you. Thank you for watching!
