Skylar Hall is a 5th grader at Science Hall Middle School in Hays CISD. In this video she meets with her principal to show how tracking STAAR data and growth can help students perform better academically.

Having your students check their own learning and chart their own growth allows them more agency in their learning. Skylar shows how teachers can meet one-on-one with students and help them identify the subject areas they might need extra help in.
