Govardhana Giridhara is a Carnatic song composed by Sri Narayana Teertha. In this modern twist on a traditional song we feature Bharatnatyam and contemporary movements. Through this dance piece we hope to appeal to a wide audience and inform them about classical dance and music from India. In addition, this is a dance collaboration made possible among dancers with different backgrounds in Bharatanatyam. We hope to merge the styles and make a modern twist to this classic song.
