I do these narrations chiefly for people with visual impairment, who are unable to read or enjoy these stories for themselves.

"Gears of War - Aspho Fields" is the first novel in the series of books adapted from the game franchise. It was written by Karen Traviss, and was published in 2008. It features two parallel storylines set in the Gears universe, one for the "present day" taking place between the Gears 1 and Gears 2 games, along flashbacks from the past of Marcus and Dom and the event that changed their lives forever, before the events of E Day - The Battle of Aspho Fields. It is one of my all-time favourite novels and is a heartfelt tale of family, brotherhood and the horror of warfare against both your fellow man and against the alien Locust.
