Reaction of Molecular Sieves 13x with 100% water.
Physical adsorption by Molecular Sieves causes release of heat, better known as heat of adsorption. Large pore Molecular Sieves such as 13x cause large amount of heat which can result in an exothermic reaction. With an increasing temperature, the water in the molecular sieve bed starts to boil.
