This is a quick video documenting a short branch line in Emmental a year before passenger services ceased and were replaced by buses.
The short branch line from Sumiswald-Grünen to Wasen im Emmental was part of the Vereinigte-Huttwil-Bahnen network. Andreas Perren filmed this short stretch with an old camera and saved it on a video cassette, which was common at the time. The film quality therefore does not meet today's quality standards, but the film journey is historically very valuable: passenger traffic was discontinued on May 28, 1994. The line is still partially maintained as a feeder to a customer in Burghof for freight traffic.
