This video was shot on Sunday July 8, 2018 around 9:30 am.
It was a preprogrammed flight using the iPhone App by Hangar called Autopilot v4.6.188.
The video was shot at a 30 meter altitude.
The flight was programmed to turn before the train bridge and it did, but from my vantage point it looked like it went past and I was a little scared but in watching the video it followed the flight plan.
At take off the camera was pointed in my random take location.
I can see that camera angles need improvement.
Overall for being my first Autopilot video its not too bad.
I would recommend this software, it is $40 CDN and at first I thought it was written by DJI. It is not, it is made by a company called Hangar.
I noticed that support for the Spark was only recently added.
At 1:56 the drone made a jerking motion, I am not sure why, I saw it happen and wondered what happened.
I have known about DJI drones for a long time but was not aware of apps / programs like Autopilot.
You can use Autopilot to pre-program your flights before you go on vacation and when you get there set down the down and start a programmed flight.
I used Lightworks to add the audio, but it down scaled the video to 720 and only if I buy a license do I get higher resolution.
Unlimited license is $437. I am just considering getting Apple's Final Cut Pro X, for about the same price.
The song, “Fly By Night” belongs to Rush and is one of my favourites. :)
