Bonjour Loire Valley!!
So excited to be here, however excuse the tired eyes.. 3 x plane trips and a train trip later and I finally have some of your delicious fresh Muscadet in hand 👌
We arrived about 3pm today and after a little stroll around the city of Nantes, a couple of vins at a local cocktail and wine bar, we ended the day with an amazing dinner at @lacigalenantes.
Nantes is located about 50kms from the Atlantic Ocean and is the home of the 'Pays Nantais'. Basically it's where the sea meets the Loire river.
Which means naturally one of our first meals had to be at a renowned Nantes establishment for seafood! Boy my seafood cravings were satisfied tonight + I even ate some snails 🐌 on the side too 😲 (they were delicious!).
And the scrumptious food was complimented by some Muscadet - a crisp, light white wine made from the Melon de Bourgogne grape variety. The perfect match for our seafood feast.
