One person has died and several injured as violent winds felled hundreds of trees, downed flights and damaged power lines in Moscow. A tree crashed onto electric power lines, injuring five and killing one according to the city's Mayor Sergei Sobyanin (pictured, top right, a worker shovels snow in the capital and, top left, police sport ushanka hats as they brave the cold).
