Dina Asher-Smith added 200m gold to her 100m silver at the 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha. The Brit ran 21.88s to set a new national record and claim the world title, staking her claim as one of the finest sprinters on the planet. American Brittany Brown set a new PB of 22.22s to take silver, and Swiss Mujinga Kambundji won bronze.
Pawel Fajdek became the first man to claim four World Championship hammer throw golds as his throw of 80.50m earned him yet another title. The Polish star finished more than two metres clear of France's Quentin Bigot, who won silver by one centimetre ahead of Bence Halasz of Hungary.
The men's 110m hurdles title went to the fastest man this year, Grant Holloway. The American clocked 13.10s to take home the gold, with Sergey Shubenkov taking silver and Pascal Martinot-Lagarde the bronze.
Day 6 also marked the start of the heptathlon and decathlon. Katarina Johnson-Thompson and Damian Warner lead their respective events after the first day of action.
