US President Joe Biden made an unannounced visit to Kyiv in Ukraine, ahead of his scheduled trip to Poland.
The visit comes just days before the one-year anniversary marking the beginning of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
President Biden reaffirmed the western allies' ongoing support for the country with a $500 million military package.
