Mountain View Trail is one of the most spectacular hikes in Switzerland.
It takes you from Grütschalp, mountain cable car station above the village of Lauterbrunnen to Allmendhubel, local hill above the mountain village of Mürren.
Mountain View Trail is less well known by tourists than other popular hikes in the region, such as Panorama Trail from Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg or Royal Walk to Männlichen summit. Consequently, you usually encounter fewer hikers on this trail than on those hugely popular trails.
Mountain View Trail offers breathtaking views of the three of the most iconic Swiss mountains: Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. Across Lauterbrunnen Valley you can also see the highest railway station in Europe: Jungfraujoch.
