We are tracking areas of freezing drizzle and dense fog Wednesday evening. We are also tracking frontal systems bringing snow for Thursday afternoon through Friday morning and again on Saturday.
Well, the streets and sidewalks aren’t going to get any less slick in the coming days. We will start the day on Thursday in the teens with icy spots on untreated roads thanks to freezing drizzle overnight. By Thursday afternoon, the next round of snow will move in. Expect the snow to continue through school pick-up, the evening commute and right on through bedtime. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY will take effect Thursday afternoon and continue through noon Friday. By Friday morning, expect 3 – 4″ of new snow around Spokane and Coeur d’Alene.
There is more snow on the way Friday night into Saturday. Early estimates of 2 – 4″ in the Spokane and Coeur d’Alene area will likely be amended as the system approaches. Regardless, it looks like it will require some shoveling. Meanwhile, temperatures will top out in the lower to mimid-30shrough the weekend before even colder weather moves in next workweek.
