Jun Chen is a 14-year- old 8th grader at Margaret Green Junior High School in Cleveland, northwest of Jackson. What he likes about geography is learning about people and cultures and how man and nature interact. He's interested in helping the poor have a better life. The best place he's visited is Hong Kong.

Jun will be competing at the national level of the National Geographic Bee in Washington, D.C. Watch the top ten students compete for scholarships totaling $50,000 on the National Geographic Channel on Thursday, May 23 at 7 p.m. The finals will be broadcast later on public television stations. Check local listings.
