Welcome to Timisoara. The charm of this city, settled on the northern bank of the Bega River, lies in its distinct architectural character and vibrant cultural life. What I really liked about the city is that the city center is full of large squares united by narrow streets that blend in the different layers of architecture. The city of Timisoara is probably the nicest city of Banat region, alongside Oradea.

One day in the beautiful city of Timisoara is probably not enough to experience all that it offers, but two or three days should be enough. A stroll for a few hours should easily cover the main city center, from the Bega River by foot or ferry to the central park, Victory Square and Unirii Square.

Nicknamed the city of flowers or little Vienna, Timisoara should absolutely be added to your itinerary whether you are exploring Hungary or Romania. Although short on attractions, you will find yourself losing track of time. The elegant public spaces and enchanting boulevards will captivate you before you know it.

If you plan on visiting Timisoara, make sure you stop at the info point situated in the area of the Maria Theresa bastion.
