Is a certification of licensure the same as a copy of my license?

No. A certification of licensure is a document prepared by the Commission that validates your licensure in Alabama. It verifies whether you received your license through reciprocity or by examination and lists disciplinary action history. Certification is usually requested by another state real estate licensing board or commission or a person or organization wanting to validate your licensure in Alabama.

Your Certification of Licensure (License History) can be downloaded from the Commission’s website Online Services or requested by mail.
