The average price for a gallon of gas has now dropped below $3 per gallon in Akron -- and Cleveland’s prices aren’t far behind.
It comes as GasBuddy reports another dip in gas prices throughout Northeast Ohio within the last week, which includes a drop of 12.6 cents per gallon in Akron. That brings the city's average to $2.91.
Cleveland, meanwhile, is down 10 cents per gallon when compared to last week as the city’s new average is now listed at $3.01. For some added context, that puts Cleveland’s average 18.9 cents lower than a month ago and 35 cents cheaper than a year ago.
