These deadly man-made chemicals were used in the production of paints, caulks, electrical appliances, building materials, and manufactured goods throughout the 20th-century. As a result, almost every industrialized nation in the world used PCBs. PCBs continue to cause damage to our environment, wildlife, and human health. As of 2018, less than 5% of PCBs in the world have been removed from the environment.
