Tim Sexton is Senior Species and Recording Officer at Rutland Water Nature Reserve. The former Rufford Colliery closed in 1993 after eight decades of mining. Since then, Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust has worked with successive landowners to gradually restore the site from coal spoil to the
County’s largest ever heathland creation project - totalling over 100 hectares. Tim spoke about some of the amazing and locally rare invertebrates which have colonised the site in recent years.
