The Billings Trail is a rail trail that is broken up into three sections in the Norfolk, Connecticut area. The railway was built in 1871 and abandoned in 1937. The highlight of this section is the impressive stone arch bridge over the Mad River.
Outdoors With John
Hi I’m John and I enjoy being outdoors. I am passionate about hiking, biking (road cycling and mountain biking), backpacking, bikepacking, and snowshoeing. I love traveling in our Class C Motorhome and visiting our national parks. I enjoy the natural and historical aspects of the outdoors and often share that on my videos. I also enjoy putting together videos that capture my adventures. I’m not an expert, and I try not to offer too much advice. If you’re like me, I suspect you’ll find value in most of these adventures.
Special thanks to Bob Belletzkie at Tyler City Station for his assistance in researching the railroad history on this video.
