These 5 Rupees coins were released in 2007 and 2008 with the new wave design from Bombay, Kolkata and Hyderabad mints.

The 5 Rupees coin is made of ferritic stainless steel weighing 6 grams with 23 mm diameter and circular in shape.

On the Obverse, Ashoka Lion Capital with lettering भारत INDIA सत्यमेव जयते  and Date below. At the reverse, Wave design and denomination with lettering रुपये  RUPEES 5.

All the coins are considered as common and the numismatic value is approx Rs 15 for UNC condition.
