Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) is a math savant with autism who works as a forensic accountant by day. However, his clientele is far from ordinary. Christian secretly launders money for criminal organizations around the world by cleaning up their books.
Living a life on the fringes, Christian communicates with his mysterious handler only through phone calls. Everything changes when he accepts a seemingly ordinary job as an accountant for a robotics company. A young accountant, Dana Cummings (Anna Kendrick), discovers a discrepancy in the company's books.
As Christian delves deeper, he uncovers a massive financial fraud. This puts him on the radar of the U.S. Treasury Department, with a dogged agent named Ray King (J.K. Simmons) determined to track him down. Meanwhile, dangerous criminals who don't want their secrets exposed will stop at nothing to eliminate Christian.
Complicating matters further, Christian reconnects with his estranged brother Brax (Jon Bernthal), who runs a private security firm. Together, they must face a deadly threat while untangling the web of corruption.
