During our visit to Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, COO and VP of Operations Mark Rapson told us that one of the reasons the shop made a switch to AMSOIL was because of the oil manufacturer's R&D on low speed pre-ignition (LSPI) issues, which are common in GM platforms like the LT engine found in the Corvette and Camaro models Lingenfelter deals with. LSPI issues can be helped by the right additive package.
