Laser enucleation of the prostate is a feasible option in selected patients with advanced prostate cancer, to relieve them from lower urinary tract symptoms or a urinary catheter. Of course, laser enucleation is never an oncological procedure to treat prostate cancer.

Although these challenging cases require surgical experience and clinical judgement, they demonstrate the versatility of laser enucleation and the improvement in quality of life that can be obtained for our patients.
