The legendary lost trailer for the film which began its life as "Eaters of the Dead" and grew to become "The 13th Warrior".
Assembled from the original footage shot by John McTiernan and scored by Graeme Revell - before Michael Crichton stepped in and reshot the film, before Jerry Goldsmith took over and composed the score. (Thankfully, I may add. Yes, I said it - I have three versions of Graeme Revell's first score, and it is not a patch on Goldsmith's... even though that may indeed be due to the different nature of McTiernan's cut, as opposed to Crichton's reshot version - see below.)
The trailer still uses the original title, credits McTiernan as the sole director and Revell as the composer. A single look is enough to tell that this is indeed representative of McTiernan's original cut - a dark, grim, horror version of the story, considerably less adventurous in spirit than Michael Crichton's final cut.
A short and unique look into our beloved film as it once was.
