Zion Harvey's life will never be the same. The 8-year-old from the US city of Baltimore lost his hands and feet to a severe infection. Zion had already had a kidney-transplant, which made him an ideal patient for the surgery because of the medication he had taken since. Zion's operation was a success: "it's a huge step forward in the movement of reconstructive surgery" says Philadelphia Children's Hospital doctor Dr L. Scott Levin.
