As the country excitedly prepared for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Jack Barclay Bentley of London marked the occasion by hosting a Best of British evening – an event celebrating the very finest of British craftsmanship in partnership with Nyetimber, producers of award-winning English wine.

The star of the show was undoubtedly the 1927 Bentley Blower, which occupied the hero spot at the Jack Barclay dealership for two weeks before the event. On the night guests could get up close to this rare piece of automotive history and were reminded of the patriotic spirit which spurred Sir Henry ‘Tim’ Birkin to enter the 24 Hours Le Mans with his supercharged creation in 1930.

As a musical quartet set the perfect tone, guests were invited to enjoy a range of Nyetimber’s award-winning wines, all of which are crafted from hand-picked, estate-grown fruit in the South of England.

Nyetimber wine is made with the same passion and pursuit of excellence as Bentley cars, so it represented the ideal partnership for an evening dedicated to British excellence and expertise.
