The best time to take a walk or the trail is in the morning to catch the first few rays of the sunrise. After the sun, you can catch the magnificence of the snow-clad Kanchenjunga. And, if the sky is clear and you are lucky, you can see all the five Kanchenjunga peaks.
2. Ghum Rock
Located at an altitude of 7,900 ft, this Rock is about 1.5 km away from the main village center. What is special about this place? A huge rocky boulder awaits you here. From the top, you can catch the sight of the Balsan Valley below. It is a famous sunrise point where tourists folk during the wee hours of the morning to catch the sun.
3. Bird watching in the forests of LepchaJagat
For bird lovers, Lepchajagatt is a haven. You can easily sight bird species like Sunbird, Sibia, etc.
4. Jorpokhri
About 5kms from LepchaJagat are the serene twin ponds where you can catch glimpses of a very rare and endangered amphibian species called the Himalayan Salamander.
5. Pashupati Market
This popular market is about 15 km from the Indo Nepal Border. Only Indian tourists are allowed to enter this market. Remember, you need to show your official ID proof to gain entry into the market. The market is famous for the availability of foreign goods at very dear prices.
6.Mirik
This is another must include a place in your LepchaJagat tour plan. The place is known for a lake bordered by forest on one side. The place is about 27 km from LepchaJagat. You can plan a visit to the Pashupati Market and Mirik one after the other.
7. Manebhanjan
The Sandakphu trek starts from Manebhanjan and is about 11 km from the village center. It takes about 25 minutes to Manebhanjan from Lepachagat.
8. Sukhiapokhri
LepchaJagat does not have a market of its own. Except for a few village houses, there is nothing else. No shops, no local market in the vicinity. The nearest proper market is at Sukhiapokhri that is about 4 km away from Lepchajagat.
