I'm a huge advocate of public transit, but let's not pretend we're doing better than we are and ignoring the biggest concern of safety and sanitation, in addition to returning to a transit system that's completely alien after the system redesign.

The clear winner after 2023 is how Valley Line is run privately by TransEd. They're able to have a safe and clean service, while at the same time delivering a new service comfortably for new riders. Perhaps it's time to visit private partnerships of public transit.

Also, how did Whitehorse, Yukon get their bus pass onto the Google wallet before Edmonton did, which contracts with Google?
