Today we're going to be taking a look at the Truxedo Trucksport Soft Roll-Up Tonneau Cover, part number TX297601. So here's what our tonneau cover looks like when it's fully installed, and not only is this going to keep our cargo safe, but it's also going to give us a stylish look to our truck. One of the really nice features of our tonneau cover is the way it's going to mount to our truck. It's gonna use a clamp system with rails that are gonna sit on top of our truck bed rails. Now since the side rails for our tonneau cover are going to mount on top of our rails of our truck, it is going to sit about an inch and a half above our bedrail. It's gonna feature a dual latching mechanism, with a release on each side, and we're able to release one side at a time. There's also a built in tensioner in our system that every time we latch it or put it in place, it will self-adjust and have the right amount of tension on our cover. Now on the side of our cover, it's gonna use a hook and loop fastener to keep everything in place, and we can just simply roll it up whenever we're not using it.

What's gonna set this one apart from most tonneau covers is the bowel, or the support, that's gonna hold our vinyl in the middle, is gonna be a straight bar, so we're not gonna have that arch protruding out like on most tonneau covers, and if we'd like we can take the hook and loop fastener off, and we can actually remove the bowel if we don't want it in there. When we're not using our tonneau cover, we have the option to roll it up all the way against the cab of our truck, and then we can reach underneath, grab the strap, put the hook on it, and we can hook it to the hook that's on the back of the bulkhead here. Our tonneau cover is made out of vinyl, and when it comes time to clean it, we can either run it through the car wash attached to our truck, or we have the option of hand-washing it with mild soap and water. Just want to recommend that you rinse off all the soap so there's no residue left on the vinyl. The sleek design of our tonneau cover is going to aid in aerodynamics, and it may improve your gas mileage as well. One of my favorite features about this tonneau cover is the built in tensioning system, because no matter the temperature or climate that our truck is in, we're going to have a nice smooth, tight tonneau cover.
