Gordon Klemp of the National Transportation Institute says there is a huge truck driver shortage and he has a solution. The problem is that there is no trucker shortage and he is wrong. The truck driver shortage is made up by companies that don't want to pay drivers what they should be paid. They can then cry to the government and get subsidies and enrich themselves. The national trucker shortage is a hoax. Is there a truck driver shortage? No. There are over 400000 new CDLs issued each year and only 90000 open jobs so no there is no trucker shortage.
