Inspection of the virtual slices along the tomogram from sample volume shows the structure of the contractile vacuole, containing a bladder and the interconnecting tubules of the spongiome. Slice #98 shows the contact of an acidocalcisome with the bladder of the contractile vacuole. The CVC (blue) and the fusing acidocalcisome (orange) were modeled.
