(1 Aug 1985) GS CAS CHILE: A judge's call for the arrest of policemen suspected
07088514 of murdering three prominent Communist Party members has
1"VT+BVU provoked the resignation of Police Minister General Mendoza.
Within hours a demonstration formed in central Santiago which
led to violent clashes with police. Junta leader General
Augusto Pinochet warned against the consequences of further
demonstrations.
