During Acme Radio’s Keep The Music Playing, a virtual festival benefitting Music Health Alliance, the team was able to film some of Nashville’s finest musicians at some of our city's historic and iconic landmarks.
Composed of our content and pre-recorded video submissions, the stream was able to raise $50,000 for local entertainers and industry professionals through MHA! This video was a part of that event, and we share today to ‘Keep the Music Playing’ in Music City.
About Keep the Music Playing:
Keep The Music Playing, a live stream fundraiser sponsored by Jack Daniel’s benefiting Music Health Alliance aired Wednesday, June 17th for COVID-19 relief. Utilizing both live and pre-recorded performances from a smattering of Nashville locations—The Ryman Auditorium, Bluebird Cafe, Acme Feed and Seed, and Dino’s to name a few.
This once-in-a-lifetime virtual event continued Nashville’s long-seeded history of stepping up to help in times of need. Our mission with the festival was simple: raise as much money as possible for the Music Health Alliance while also offering people around the world a glimpse inside Nashville, if only through a screen.
With your donations, alongside Kathie Lee Gifford’s generous contribution and Acme Radio’s contribution (all matched by Spotify), we were able to raise a substantial sum for the Music Health Alliance that translated into $1.5 million in life-saving health care for the people in our community who need it the most. We couldn’t have done it without our incredible partners Jack Daniels, Go West Creative, Do616, The Nashville Scene, Visit Music City, Spotify, and all of you who watched, listened, and donated.
