HI MY YOUTUBE FAMILY! How is everyone doing? I hope well and in the best health. I am super excited to share with you guy THE FIRST TIME I MAKE A PERNIL. This is one of the things i like the most going to birthdays and holiday parties. Now i can make this when ever i want on a regular day for myself and my babies. I can even help out and make it for friends and family members in special occasions. The most exciting part is passing this down to my kids. A new family tradition.
Here are the steps i took to make the pernil and the ingredients. Dont forget to add your own flavor to it.
1-CLEAN/SANITIZE KITCHEN
2-A FEW PAIR OF GLOVES
3-A SMALL BOWL
4-A BIG BOWL TO SEASON YOUR PERNIL
5-PUT TOGETHER ALL YOUR SEASONINGS INTO THE SMALL BOWL
THE SEASONING I USED
-5 PACK OF SAZON SIN ACHOTE
-2/3 SPOONS OF SOFRITO
-2/3 SPOONS OF MINCED GARLIC
-ADOBO
-ADOBO CLASICO
-ONION POWDER
-1 PACK JAMON POWDER
-LEMON PEPPER
-ROTISSERIE CHICKEN SEASONING
-MOJO GRIOLLO
-CILANTRO
BEFORE SEASONING YOUR PERNIL YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE SLICES/POKE HOLES INTO YOUR PERNIL. ONCE ALL YOUR SEASONINGS ARE MIXED TOGETHER YOU ARE GOING TO SEASON YOUR PERNIL. IT IS GOOD TO LEAVE YOUR PERNIL IN A BAG OR IN A COVER CONTAINER OVER NIGHT IN THE FRIDGE. THE POINT TO THIS IS SO THAT THE PERNIL CAN SOAK IN ALL THAT SEASONING.
FOR SLOW COOKERS- LEAVE IN TO COOK FOR 8 HRS ON HIGH. AFTER THE FIRST 5 HRS YOU WANT TO BREAK IT APART A LITTLE TO MAKE SURE IT IS COOKING ALL THE WAY THROUGH .
