Some trucking companies and drivers want to tell you they get you home on weekends or that they are off weekends. If you get home on Saturday morning and you leave Sunday night you are not home on weekends. Mega carriers and other trucking companies may promise this but I think to be off weekends you actually need to be off on the weekends and that does not mean just 34 hours. To be actually off on weekends you need to get home Friday and leave Monday morning and not at 1am, either. Don't let these companies just throw terms around. Be very specific when you ask these things. New truck drivers should be very aware of this and don't take the companies word for it. Get it in writing.
