Our Refresh Model X finally got to see some true family road trip use. We drove our Model X LR AWD from Florida back to Indiana to visit with Family for fall break. On this trip, we traversed just over 2,000 miles and were able to benefit from the vast expansion of Tesla's V3 Supercharging network.

When we started road tripping in our Teslas, we used to make this trip, just in reverse, several times a year. In the beginning, there was only 1 V3 Supercharger on this route, and that was in Nashville. Since then, V3 superchargers have been deployed so fast that you can make the trip only using V3 superchargers now.

Although we love road tripping in our Tesla Model Y also, this refresh Model X comes with some distinct advantages over the more compact and economic Model Y. For starters, it has more physical room on the inside, making it more comfortable for all passengers. It also affords even more storage space than the Model Y and because of the adaptive air suspension, it is silky smooth on the highway.

Just like all other Tesla Road Trips we have been on, this one was just as smooth and uneventful. No other EV on the road can travel with the carefree style that a Tesla can thanks to the undisputed reliable Tesla Supercharging Network. Couple that with the monstrous charging speed of the refresh Model X, and you are looking at one of the best road trip experiences available in an EV today.
