You know the old saying: those who can, do, and those who can't, teach. Real scientists do; they conduct research and solve the world's problems. But who's going to solve the world's problems if no one cares about science?
Mrs. Bernasconi is a dedicated biology and marine biology teacher at Clarsktown High School North, and consistently makes an extra effort to extend education beyond the classroom. She implemented the Marine Biology Collection Trip as a central component of the curriculum, brought the 20-Time Project to North, and recently won the LHRIC Pioneer Award for her innovative uses of technology in her classes.
