What we are saying in Shambhala and what the Dorje Dradul [Trungpa Rinpoche] was saying and what we are expressing here is again that society is not a Utopian state; but that it is a society that has enough confidence and trust to acknowledge humanity's most innate principle. And traditionally society is actually defined as a network of individuals who are brought together by a common purpose or principle.
What is the principle of our society now?
Well the notion of enlightened society is that if at the subliminal level that we can create a society where enlightenment is not a state, but is a descriptive adjective, in that it is the willingness for us to wake up and look and to see what our nature is and what society's nature is.
