July 20, 2014--The venue was the Golden Nugget Hotel/Casino in Las Vegas. At this point in the meet, I had gone 3-for-3 in the squat, and 2-for-2 in the bench press. I felt great, and my energy level was high. I had pre-planned this specific weight of 281 lbs. (127.5kg) because, if I succeeded, it would be a California State record. I succeeded.
