Before Dune Prophecy started airing, we’d wondered what would be the main theme and the end goal of the series. Sure, the word Prophecy tipped us off to the idea that there was going to be a certain degree of oracular business going on here, but then the first episode dropped and we realised the Sisterhood was still viewing prescience as a sequence of nightmares. It was only when we saw the main enigma of the series that we understood its real purpose, as oxymoronic as it sounds. Desmond Hart was shrouded in mystery when he first showed up in episode one, likely because there is no character by his name in the Dune-iverse. But over the course of five episodes, we’ve come to learn that he is nothing more than a blueprint for the future of the franchise. The Prophecy that Max’s Dune series focuses on is none other than the one relating to the Kwisatz Haderach, and in this video, we will explain how it was created off the back of Desmond’s powers; according to the show’s timeline, that is.
