I had the opportunity to film inside the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in Downtown Manhattan (New York City). It was a very surreal and emotional experience as I still remember exactly where I was the day that Twin Towers were attacked and collapsed. The memorial opens with many stories told from people who were there during the events, including tv coverage. As you walk further into the museum you learn about the history of the Twin Towers at the world trade center, the victims, and the heroes. There are no many detailed walking videos of the inside of the museum, so I thought this would be an experience to share with many others, as difficult as it was to record at times. Finally at the end of the video, I take a brisk walk through the memorial pools where both buildings once stood. I chose not to add any logos or change any of the footage in anyway to give you the experience of being there in person as close as possible.
For a more immersive experience wear headphones & for landmarks, street names, and other facts turn on closed captioning.
