Hi everyone! I am continuing my experiments with Boom Gel Stain, which, similar to ready-pour paints, you use straight from the bottle with no mix This time I'm going to try a couple of flip cups! The one thing I notice after this was filmed with that Boom Gel Stain is much much lighter than regular acrylics, and my cell activator sinks no matter the opacity or consistency. Colors/Brands/Pouring Medium Recipe:

Pouring Medium for the base paint: Artist Loft Flow Acrylics in Black, mixed with my glue/water pouring medium recipe of 65% glue/35% water (mix well). 1:1 ratio of paint to PM

Boom Gel Stain straight from the bottle: Pearlescent Series in Twilight, Cherry, , Mauve, Sunset

Pouring Medium aka PM Recipe—mix with all colors EXCEPT the cell activator:

Behr 8300 Untinted Deep Base Paint (Home Depot); Minwax Polyacrylic Gloss 2:1 ratio paint to varnish. Mix well.

Golden Fluid Acrylics-- I put about 2-2 1/2 ounces of the pouring medium into a 3 ounce cup, then squirt in color until I reach my desired shade. Mix well.

For tube paint, I added an ounce of paint (heaping tablespoon) to a 3 ounce cup, then added 2 ounces of pouring medium. If still thick then I'll add a teaspoon of varnish/water to thin. (I make a bottle of "Jo-Wa" by adding 1/3 JoSonja Gloss Varnish and the rest water, and keep it in a squeeze bottle and use as my "water.")

All pigments are 1/8th tsp. pre-disbursed with a small amount of JoSonja Varnish to wet it (stir really well), then add into a 3 oz. cup of Pouring Medium; stir well.

Other colors mixed with the SheleeArt Pouring Medium: Golden Iridescent Gold Fine, This Little Piggie in Sockeye

Cell Activator Color/Recipe:

Australian Floetrol + Amsterdam Oxide Black and Reflex Rose, 3.5:1 ratio Floetrol to paint.
