First sunny day after Christmas, still Christmas cheers and spirits remained throughout the main streets of London. Fabulously festive lights are still lit up till the end of December!
In this walk, I started from Green Park in Mayfair, passing through one of the most famous and iconic hotels The Ritz then iconic British brand Fortnum & Mason's flagship store to Piccadilly circus. (There are other wonderful places to visit nearby too - such as Royal Academy of Arts / Hatchards, the oldest bookshop in London / St.James's Piccadilly church which was designed and built by Sir Christopher Wren who also designed St.Paul's cathedral!)
So many tourists and shoppers were out, but I navigated through the crowds into the major shopping street Regent Street to capture the beautiful Christmas lights. These Regent Street lights are more traditional angels' wings type of lights but wanted to show you different Soho-style lights in Carnaby street and Ganton Street.
Then out onto the Regent street again to head towards Oxford Circus, Selfridges and today's walk ended at Marble Arch. Hyde park is just around the corner too if you want to continue the walk yourself :) So many rickshaws around here especially in front of Selfridges. I personally find them annoying with too loud music and noises they make competitively (some sounds have been replaced due to copyright issues of the music played on these) but can be fun for tourists to ride this than traditional taxi I suppose!
Winter Wonderland is on every winter but my GoPro 10 battery died on me. It's for the next time and hope you can enjoy the walk with me :)
