Exit & Emergency Lighting Systems Inspection [ Ссылка ] Proper emergency lighting inspection and maintenance will result in a safer exit route in the event of a power failure. While on site, Bartec will take float voltages and charging rates to ensure that the lighting units are charging the batteries at acceptable levels. Main power will be disconnected from the unit simulating a power failure, which activates the emergency light heads. The unit will be run for a minimum of thirty minutes or up to two hours based on code requirements. The technician will walk the area protected by the unit to confirm that all remote light heads are functioning and correctly orientated. If the heads are found to be burnt out, bulb size will be confirmed to insure correct replacements are provided. If any deficiencies are identified, they will be recorded on Bartec’s reporting software. When the test has been completed and the power restored to the unit, voltage and current measurements are taken to insure the battery is recharging properly. Finally, we check the battery dates to insure they are within their operating life. Battery which have been in service for more than four years will be identified for replacement. This insures that your emergence lighting system will always be ready to operate in the event of an emergency.
