There are comic elements in the like Mr Adams made the readers laugh through his naive nature and his absent mindnes ..Mrs Slipslop made the readers laugh through his fancy vocabulary .There are also epic elements like it is long narrative ,dignified language can also be seen through out the novel .we can see heroic deeds in the novel and it has serious purpose to reform the society ..Thus novel can be called comic epic in prose because it has both comic and epic elements.
